Contract Drafting Workshop
Contracts fail for predictable reasons: vague definitions, missing conditions, inconsistent terminology, or clauses that contradict each other on page seven. This workshop is built around those specific failure points.
Format and approach
Two full days, in-person or live online. We use real contract templates from commercial, employment, and service contexts and work through them section by section. Participants draft and revise their own clauses throughout — not just read examples.
Facilitator Orla Feenagh has spent twelve years reviewing contracts in corporate and nonprofit settings. Her approach is blunt and specific: she will tell you exactly why a clause is unclear and show you two or three ways to fix it.
The goal is not perfect prose. Contracts need to be precise, not elegant. If a clause is clear and unambiguous, it has done its job.
Bring a contract you are currently working on. We will make time to look at participant documents on day two.
